How this site is built

The path a change takes from my editor to the live site:

  1. 1

    Node.js

Runs JavaScript on my computer. It powers npm run dev (the local server) and npm run build.

  2. 2

    Next.js

The framework. Folders in app/ become pages, layout.tsx wraps every page, and Server Components render on the server.

  3. 3

    Tailwind CSS

Styling with utility classes like p-4 and md:grid-cols-3, written right in the markup.

  4. 4

    Git + GitHub

Every change is a commit. Pushing to the main branch sends the code to GitHub.

  5. 5

    Vercel

Watches the GitHub repo. Every push to main is built and deployed to yamsia.vercel.app automatically.

  6. 6

    Claude

Connected to the project folder, so it can read, create and edit files directly. I test on localhost, then commit and push.

// the everyday loop

edit → check localhost:3000 → git commit → git push → live
